Notiz: Valentin or Veltin Armsheimer marries the widow of Hans Ebling of Undenheim in 1616 and there is no record of him in Woerrstadt after that time. After marriage the married couple usually lives in the village of the groom but in some cases he will move to the village of the bride. His disappearance from Woerrstadt indicates he moved to Undenheim and in the case of marrying a widow we would assume to live with his new wife at her existing household. The name Armsheimer is not common and was certainly not in the village in Undenheim prior to the arrival Velten Armsheimer. Without any records in Undenheim there is no birth record of his son Nicolaus Armsheimer but being the only Armsheimer in the village makes him not only a compelling candidate but the only candidate for the father of Nicolaus Armsheimer who appears in the earliest church records of Undenheim. |
